Capsule review – 10 Speed First Anniversary!

We sent Amanda down to the China Cloud last night for the first anniversary of  10 Speed, the improv interruption extravaganza. This is what she had to say:

Unsurprisingly, the 10 Speed anniversary show was excellent. Standouts were The Movers (Nathan Clark and Ken Lawson,) The Storytellers (Dave Morris and Ryan Beil) and Tegan and Sarah (Tegan Verheul and Sarah Szloboda.)

The (imaginary) award for best use of their interruption goes to Nick and Nima’s Nick Harvey-Cheetham, who shotgunned a beer in four seconds without so much as blinking. Honourable mention to Ken Lawson for his reaction to live crabs being placed on the stage. (The live crabs were easily the best interruption of the night.)

And for most homoerotic scenes of the night: Hip.Bang, who spent almost their entire set wrapped around each other, with hilarious results.

Can’t recommend these shows enough. Great improv, great atmosphere, great fun.

The Movers have a webseries. Check it out on YouTube.
