Sunday

  • The Kozmik Zoo (53 W. Broadway)- improv with the Sunday Service.Tickets $5. Show at 9pm.
  • Vancouver TheatreSports League (1502 Duranleau, Granville Isl.) – Battle of the rookies! Tickets $8. Show at 7:30pm.
  •  I Got Cha Open at the Sin Bin (295 West 2nd) – Brendan Bourque presents this intimate open mic/standup workshop. Admission by donation. Signup starts at 6:15 pm, show at 7 pm.
  • Library Square (300 W. Georgia)- Comedy Rehab Sundays featuring “the best in live stand up comedy.” Tickets $10. Show at 10pm.
  • East Van Comedy at Havana (1212 Commercial) – The best of Vancouver’s improv, sketch and sometimes even standup communities, live in the Havana Theatre. Tickets $8, or cheaper with Havana Restaurant receipt. Show at 8 pm. 

Monday

  • The Oasis Ultra Lounge (1240 Thurlow)- improv games with the BobbersAdmission by donation. Show at 7 pm.
  • Rowan’s Roof (2340 West 4th)- Improv Monday featuring a variety of Vancouver’s finest improvisers. Tickets $5. Show at 8pm. 
  • The Corner (612 Davie)- standup presented by Jesse Carroll and Jared Borland. Tickets $10. Show at 8:30. 
  • The Prophouse (1636 Venables)- standup presented by Jimmy Barnes and Jason Bryden. Tickets $5. Show at 9.
  • East Van Comedy at Havana (1212 Commercial) – The best of Vancouver’s improv, sketch and sometimes even standup communities, live in the Havana Theatre. Tickets $8, or cheaper with Havana Restaurant receipt. Show at 8 pm. 

Tuesday

  • Raw Canvas (1046 Hamilton)- Standup hosted by Darcy Michael and Jane Stanton. Tickets $5. Show at 9pm.
  • Kino Cafe (3456 Cambie)- Steve Allen runs this open mic, which is Vancouver’s longest running standup room. Usually features 3-min sets by comics working on new material. Tickets $5. Show at 9:30pm
  • New School Tuesdays at Darby’s (2001 Macdonald)- Comedians You Should See (Simon King and Brett Martin) present an experimental, interactive pro-am show that promises comics will “step outside their comfort zones and push themselves.” Free.  Show at 9 p.m.
  • Smartass! at the Junction (1138 Davie) – Darren Elmore books this show, described as a weekly comedy room “with a gay twist.” $2 beer specials and great pro-am lineups. Tickets $5. Show at 8 p.m.
  • The Main Event (4210 Main) – Brendan Bourque books and MCs this pro-am room. Tickets $5. Show at 9 p.m.
  • The Fictionals (2096 Commercial) – Every Tuesday throughout this summer, The Fictionals will be featuring one of their three hilarious shows (Pop-Up Comedy Jam, Vancouver Improv Fight Club, Show Us Your Wits) at Cafe Deux Soleils. Tickets $5. Shows at 8 pm.

Wednesday

  • Heritage Grill (447 Columbia, New West)- improv with Unscripted ChaosTickets $5. Show at 9 pm.
  • The Hyde (2960 Main)- BuckNasty standup comedy. Tickets $5. Show at 8:30.
  • Corduroy (1943 Cornwall)- Standup showcase. Show at 9pm. 
  • Displace (3293 West 4th)- Kevin Foxx books and appears at this standup room, which regularly plays host to some of Vancouver’s finest comics. Tickets $5, reservations recommended. Show at 9pm. 
  • Wide Open Wednesdays at Goldies (605 W. Pender) – Johnny Scoop and Marlo Franson present a drop-in, sign up open mic night. Tickets $5. Show at 9pm.
  • Slocan Pro Comedy Jam (2715 E. Hastings) – Brendan Bourque presents this mostly-pro comedy show. Tickets $5. Show at 9 pm. 

Thursday

  • The Cottage Bistro (4470 Main)- amateur standup hosted by Al HassamTickets $5. Show at 7:30
  • Comedy Thursdays at Rowan’s Roof (2340 W.4th)- features improv, sketch, and standup, along with short character pieces, comedic readings, music, burlesque, open mic challenges, and more. Starts Feb. 16, 2012. Free. Show at 8 p.m.
  • Silver Tongue Comedy at Goldies (605 W. Pender) – A Scoop/Franson co-production. Johnny Scoop books this pro-am style open mic night. Tickets $10. Show at 9 p.m.
  • The $100 Winner Variety Show at the Sin Bin (295 W. 2nd Ave) – Patrick Maliha hosts this weekly variety show that welcomes people of all talents and often features prizes for lucky audience members. Tickets $5, students 1/2 price. Show at 9 p.m.
  • Mavericks Comedy at Mavericks Sports Lounge (395 Kingsway) – Art Factora produces this weekly pro-am comedy night. Tickets $5. Show at 9:30 pm.

Friday

  • Amuse Bouche (Slickety Jim’s, 3469 Main) Ian Boothby and Riel Hahn run this intimate, laid-back standup room. Show at 8 pm. Tickets $5. 
  • Sudden Death Improv (Second Storey Theatre, 201-2550 Shaughnessy, Port Coquitlam)- timed improv games with Second Storey’s new resident cast.  Doors at 7:30, show at 8 p.m. Tickets $10/adult, $8 kids and seniors.
  • Silver Tongue Comedy at Goldies (605 W. Pender) – A Scoop/Franson co-production. Johnny Scoop books this pro-am show. Tickets $10. Show at 9pm.
  • Vainglorious at the Sin Bin (295 W. 2nd) – Brendan Bourque runs and MCs this standup room, which features amateur comedians with a professional headliner.  Tickets $5. Show at 8:30.

Saturday

  • Sudden Death Improv (Second Storey Theatre, 201-2550 Shaughnessy, Port Coquitlam)- timed improv games with Second Storey’s new resident cast.  Doors at 7:30, show at 8 p.m. Tickets $10/adult, $8 kids and seniors.
  • Silver Tongue Comedy at Goldies (605 W. Pender) – A Scoop/Franson co-production. Johnny Scoop books this pro-am show. Tickets $10. Show at 9pm.

Comedy clubs

  • The Comedy Mix (1015 Burrard) runs standup nights from Tuesday to Saturday, featuring a variety of local and imported headliners.
  • Lafflines (530 Columbia, New West) does standup shows from Thursday to Saturday.
  • Yuk Yuk’s (2837 Cambie) does standup shows from Wednesday to Saturday, featuring a variety of local and imported comics you won’t see anywhere else.
  • The Vancouver TheatreSports League (1502 Duranleau) does improv shows from Wednesday to Sunday.
