So you wanna be an improviser…

Second Storey Theatre can help. They’re holding auditions for their Frosh (“rookie league,” if you will) cast this Saturday at noon. If you make the cut, it’s $50 for three months of improv workshops. You’ll perform at the theatre once a month and you get to see the Mainstage cast perform for free. Pretty sweet deal!

The Facebook event adds this:

Are you ready to take your improv to the next level? Second Storey Frosh is a performance cast that workshops together once a week and takes to the stage once a month to test their chops in front of an audience. They will be directed by Second Storey Theatre’s artistic director, Graham Myers, as well as guest directors from the Main Stage Cast.

The focus of this cast will be to develop a new and exciting group dynamic as well as create formats for the monthly shows. If you are looking to grow as an improviser and push yourself to the next level then you need to get up in front of an audience and show off your stuff. We at Second Storey Theatre pride ourselves on creating a safe and challenging environment for those ready to take it up a notch.

You’ll be learning scene work, creating characters, storytelling, and formats all while building a confidence to jump into any situation and feel a trust in your group like nowhere else.

See you there!
