UPDATED: Four shows you should be at this week

It’s that time of year again.  Your favourite comedy rooms are about to be taken over by corporate holiday parties.

Thankfully, that day is not yet upon us – there are a ton of great shows this week. Here are a few of our favourites:

Vancouver Improv Fight Club presents: RUMBLE IN THE JUMBLE 2

Cafe Deux Soleils, 2096 Commercial Drive

Tuesday, Dec. 11. Doors 7:30, show at 8

From the Facebook event:

15 improvisers. 3 randomized teams. 1 evening of comedy mayhem.

Throughout 2012, The Fictionals Comedy Co. have been honoured to have some of Vancouver’s top improv troupes step into the Vancouver Improv Fight Club ring at Cafe Deux Soleils. As a thank you to them and all of our fans, we’ve invited representatives from each team along with some special guests to mix-it-up in our annual Christmas special, Rumble in the Jumble!

The premise is this: each improviser’s name will be placed into a hat and three
randomized teams of five players will be drawn on the night of the battle royale. Each group will then have 15 minutes to elect a team captain, choose a team name, and to decide on an improv long-form they will perform later that evening.

The improvisers are:

Daniel Chai – The Fictionals (Host)
Graeme Duffy – Vancouver TheatreSports League
Diana Francis – Vancouver TheatreSports League
Jenn Perrin – The Fictionals / The Bobbers
Graham Myers – Second Storey Theatre
Brad Rossington – Second Storey Theatre
